M27 Dumbbell Nebula in narrow band color

 

Date: 6, 17 and 18 July 2003

Telescope: Celestron 8 SCT with stabilized mirror, on Gemini G-41 mount

Guiding: ST-4 Autoguider with Celestron C80, 80mm F11 refractor piggybacked on C8.

Camera: MX916

Exposure:

Luminence: IDAS LPS filter 13x5mins

Red: Schuler H-alpha filter 10x10mins

        Green and Blue: Lumicon O-III filter 7x10mins (Ive tried Lumicon H-beta for blue, but too few nebulosity was recorded)

        So the LRGB channels are LHOO colors

Location: Tai Mei Tuk, Hong Kong

Software: Image acquisition by Astroart, calibration and auto-alignment by AIP4win, sigma-combined by Sigma, R-L deconvolution by AIP4win, final brightness adjustment by Astroart.

 

This is the same data using H-alpha for Luminence instead, so this is HHOO colors!
